the mist battle -summary-
If you don't know much about the Varia arc or need a little refresher: This arc of the series revolves around the Vongola's elite assissination forces, The Varia, and their hunger to retrieve the other halves of the Vongola rings. Each guardian of the Vongola family has half of a Vongola ring, while different Varia members have the others. The two groups battle it out to complete the ring and have complete control of the Vongola. Because I don't like to ramble too much, I'll leave it at that. That's the basic idea of it all, really! So, that being said, each of the Vongola family members must battle it out for each of their halves of their rings. If they win, they get to keep the ring (bullshit - they have to fight again for it during the Sky Battle) and each team must have more wins than the other (I believe). The Mist Battle finally, after many long chapters of waiting, introduces Chrome Dokuro and re-introduces Ken, Chikusa and Mukuro. Gokudera seems especially attentive to Chrome since she... looks like Mukuro, holds his trident, wears a suspicious eyepatch (to hide the red eye?), and wears the Kokuyou uniform. Tsuna accepts her as guardian and the battle for the Mist ring commences. Her enemy is an acrobaleno (with a chained pacifier) named Marmon. Chrome seems to be able to use a couple of paths that Mukuro can use and her illusions are effective but not enough for Marmon. This particular acrobaleno, too, is talented with creating illusions. After a while, Marmon puts Chrome in a bind and she finds herself at the peak of defeat - but this is when Rokudo Mukuro returns. He materializes into her body (he's not an illusion) and finishes the fight against Marmon. Apparently he's used up most of his strength against Marmon which is understandable - he had to retrieve the other half of his ring. The Mist battle is mainly a good introduction to what happened between Mukuro and his subordinates. Ken and Chikusa are present in this battle to make sure Chrome doesn't die.
Katekyo Hitman Reborn and Mukuro belong to Akira Amano. Layout and content belong to Airi.
